Private Drivers in Nusa Dua

Gated resort beaches, calm water, and the Bukit peninsula — Nusa Dua is the easy, family-friendly south.

Nusa Dua occupies a landscaped peninsula on Bali’s southern Bukit, built around the BTDC resort zone: wide beaches, hotel security gates, and water that is usually calmer than the west-coast surf towns. It is the island’s most straightforward family and resort stay — golf courses, the Pasifika Museum, and a beachfront promenade that you can walk without dodging motorbikes.

Geger Beach, on the south side of the peninsula, is quieter and more local in feel, with a temple on the headland. Waterblow throws spray over the limestone when the swell is up. A few minutes north, Tanjung Benoa is the watersports strip: banana boats, parasailing, and glass-bottom boats. Further west on the same peninsula sit Uluwatu’s clifftop temple and the surf beaches of Padang Padang, Bingin, and Balangan.

Inside the resort enclave you can walk or take a hotel shuttle. Leaving it is another story. The Bukit’s hills and the Bypass toward Kuta or Sanur are much easier with a driver who already does the Uluwatu sunset run and the GWK Cultural Park stop. Early pickup also makes a full-day Ubud trip realistic, even from the far south.
